Patriot & The Preacher

Thomas Jefferson wrote “God, who gave us life, gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the Gift of God?” In the spirit of refocusing our nation on the gifts of liberty and freedom and where they originate, we offer you a weekly show hoping to do our part in calling our nation back to its spiritual and political foundations, using Biblical truths and the wisdom of our founding fathers.

Is There a Problem?
“Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! What a Utopia, what a Paradise!” wrote our second President John Adams. Today we see no evidence of a Utopia; instead we see the opposite, a nation in turmoil. Proverbs says “Without vision, the people perish”. At The Patriot and The Preacher we hope to reignite the vision. We believe the average voter is not only disenchanted, but feels powerless to effect true change in our country. Political radio pundits bombard us daily with the problems we face and provide “solutions” that are unrealistic and divisive in nature while religious radio pundits are mocked and essentially marginalized.

What’s The Solution?
We hope to create a welcoming atmosphere that allows for open dialogue between; hosts Mark Anthony and Ben Kinchlow, our guests and input from our listeners. The Patriot and The Preacher while grounded in Christian principles and rooted in the vision of our Founding Fathers will offer practical solutions for personal change and a collective refocusing. Our dialogue doesn’t start with condemnation. Our conversations are solution oriented. We invite leaders to set aside their standard talking points and participate in results oriented dialogue. We highlight current events, interview newsmakers and celebrate over-comers. We shine a spotlight on charities whose leaders have turned personal challenges into dynamic outreaches that change lives every day in order to inspire others with possibilities.

George Washington praying With George Washington we declare the solution is found within the hearts and lives of the people themselves.
